How NOT to be a Missional-Incarnational Church - Lesson #1
I first ran acrossed this story in the comment section on one of Brannen Padgett's posts. He's a church planter in the process of figuring out Austin, Texas with his wife and new baby. Looks like he's gonna have his hands full. Not with the residents, but possible with the "established" church, specifically Hyde Park Baptist Church. They recently refused to host an interfaith Thanksgiving service because they have a policy of prohibiting non-Christians from praying on it's grounds. So much for people seeking out Christ! The service, which has been held for the last 23 years, was forced to move at the last minute.
Now FOX News has picked up on the story. You can read it here.
