11/20/07 - Life Journal - As the Foundation Crumbles

And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it."
Matthew 7:26,27

Jesus is telling the people that those who hear his words AND follow his teaching will be like the man who built his house on a foundation of stone, able to withstand the storms that he'll face in his life. On the contrary is the man above, ignorant to His word, who's life is scattered in the face of adversity.

When reading this it hit me, not on a personal level, but on a nation wide scale. It's amazing how many people I hear saying that they'd re-elect Clinton if the rules were changed. This man is the shining example of what is wrong. Our moral foundations in this country are squat. Talk about a castle in the sand, we've got an entire nation planted on shifting sand right now. People openly bashing the president, not saying that disagreeing is wrong, that's what a democracy is all about, but publicly tearing him apart. How is that good? Save your crap for the voting booth. What about these "geniuses" we have in Hollywood. Rosie saying Bush is a war criminal, Danny Glover and Sean Penn cozying up to that wacko dictator in Venezuala, blah, blah, blah....What ever happened to executing traitors? Add in the pushing of the homosexual lifestyle in schools, trash every night on t.v. and one of the biggest sellers in toy stores are those "mini-streetwalkers" Bratz. What's goin on? This castle is gonna collapse and great will the fall of it be.

Father give me a clue. What can one person do?

I'll take a shack on the rock
Over a castle in the sand.
