8/11/07 - Life Journal - Come On Back to Me

Do men fall and not get up again? Does one turn away and not repent? Why then has this people, Jerusalem, turned away in continued apostasy? They hold fast to deceit, they refuse to return.
Jeremiah 8:4,5

Like the lost soul, deeming himself unworthy of salvation, so are the saved who stumble, feeling the same unworthiness and fail to repent and start over. They both don't understand the true meaning of grace.

Worse still, the person who purposefully turns from Him and fails to repent once knowing the truth. This person feels they are spiting Him but they are only spiting themselves. As Jesus said, this is the worst sin, the sin against the Spirit.
