Back to Work....

...so I can relax! Another packed weekend is finished. Now it's a short week (every other Friday off) and Sheri and I are going fishing!

Here's how it went:

Friday:

Home at 4:00. Sheri and I cut the grass, edged, weeded, etc. It's starting to look good with all the rain! With that finished I gave the aquarium a much needed water change. I'm getting a little ticked at our cichlid we named "Goliath". Don't know what type but he's purple with dark black vertical stripes. (If you know saltwter fish he kinda looks like a Sargeant Major). He harrasses all of the other cichlid's (we have 5 more) and he's been tearing up my Pleco's fins. I'm about to use him as bass bait. With everything done we settled down to "Johnny Kapahaala, Back on Board". Turned out to be another great Disney, made for TV movie about "Dirt Boarding".

Saturday:

No stopping now! Made it to the Salvation Army class on Food Preparation in the nick of time. The class is mandatory to volunteer during emergencies as a relief worker supplying food. Boring class but important for us if we're ever needed. Skipped out of their at 12:00 to get the kiddos and fly over to Grandma and Papa Carey's in Clearwater. Great food, kids swam forever, topped off with a brownie sundae! NEXT. Hopped in to the truck to meet Grandma and Papa "D" to drop the kids with them. Sheri and I were on our way to the "RUSH" concert! It's been my Holy Grail ever since I can remember and I've finally seen them live. Incredible show. BTW, never by a reserved seat at the Ford Amphitheater. The lawn section at the back is awesome! Bring a blanket, kick off your shoes, and enjoy! The set list was:

Limelight
Digital Man
Entre Nous
Mission
Freewill
The Main Monkey Business
The Larger Bowl (with McKenzie Brothers intro)
Secret Touch
Circumstances
Between The Wheels

(-Intermission-/video intro)

Summertime Blues
The Spirit of Radio
Tom Sawyer (with South Park intro)

A 3 hour show minus intermission, which wasn't all that long (the intermission that is). Made it home around midnight, bed soon after and then...............

Sunday:

...up at 5 am to make it to the theater to set up. I was beat but setting up is actually pretty fun and invigorating. Plus, I was about to jam on my kit just hours after seeing Neal Peart live! Service was awesome along with worship. Thanks Joe, Alyssa and Matt. We've got the stage down to a science. +/- 45 minutes tear down! Back home to a nice 3 hour nap (thanks family). Quick dinner, Next Food Network Star, Bed! Whew, we made it...........til next weekend!
