A Legacy Left

A legend died today. But Bill Walsh, former coach of the San Fransisco 49ers, has left a legacy that will last for years to come. Using his offensive intellect and a quarterback from Pennsylvania via Notre Dame, the Niners won 3 Super Bowl championships and 6 NFC West division titles in the 10 years that Walsh was coach. His vaunted "West Coast Offense" has taken over the NFL and several of his protege's, including Jon Gruden, Andy Reid and Mike Holmgren, are current head coaches or on coaching staffs around the league. He changed the NFL forever and will be missed.
