Hurricane Dean disrupts travel plans...
Are you kidding me? This is a headline on tbo.com? A category 5 hurricane was about to wreak havoc on the Yucatian Peninsula and us spoiled Americans are ticked that their travel plans got screwed up. Here's a quote from Megan Kohut of State College, PA:
"I'm highly disappointed," said Kohut, who learned of the change only after she had flown in from Pittsburgh.
What happened, was her cruise cancelled? Nope it was rerouted and her itinerary was changed. Better put her on suicide watch.
Heeeeeeeeere's Erin!
It's official, T.D. #5 is now Tropical Storm Erin. It's expected to come ashore in somewhere along the South Texas coastline tomorrow morning. This comes on the heels of TS Dean chugging along in the Atlantic. It's been quiet so far but the Hurricane Season is still young.
And if you thought the gas prices were going down, well cross your fingers. Here's an excerpt from Reuters:
Tropical Storm Dean
From TBO.com:
...Tropical Storm Dean is moving along its forecast track toward the Caribbean Sea, forecast to become a hurricane by Friday and a powerful Category 3 storm by Monday south of Haiti...
...It is still far too early to tell whether Dean will be a threat to Florida...
..forecasters also warn that "there is a possibility that Dean could be notably stronger" than the forecast estimates by Monday...
