Pirates put in Perspective

Sheri and I are watching Dead Men's Chest tonight in preparation for Worlds End tomorrow. Picked up the ducats at Fandango so we're all set.

Something on Leno last night opened my eyes to the reality of our infatuation with pirates. On the show there was an interview of Cuba Gooding Jr taped at the movies premiere. He said (I'm paraphrasing) " In two hundred years are we gonna be watching movies about the crips and bloods, laughing and cheering while they do drive-byes, robbing, raping? So why have Pirates become heroes?"

So true. My theory is it has something to do with Keira Knightley :)
